Studio Legale Galli is an IP law firm led by senior partner Cesare Galli. Galli heads up the Milan office, with other offices located in Parma, Verona and Brescia. It has 10 lawyers overall, including junior partner Mariangela Bogni. Its clients include Sandoz, Bulgaro, Novartis and Benetton Group.
Galli himself is a highly respected and visible figure within the market, as one partner says: "Galli is one man, but he is everywhere. Speaks on every topic. Very knowledgeable and prepared." Another pinpoints one of the firm's busier practice areas: "Galli is always very active on brands."
Even so, the firm has been active in patents too this year. One notable case saw Galli and Bogni advising Matec, part of the Lonati Group, in a patent and design infringement case brought by Cortese in relation to automatic loading stockings in fixing machines. Matec counterclaimed to hold a patent invalid, with the Court of Florence dismissing Cortese's claims in January 2012.
